The time I hit my head....

So today you get to hear all about my tremendous tales of Grade 8 camp. If you don't know what that is, it's basically like the "congrats, you're finally done middle school. But wait before you go, let's throw you out in the woods for a week with all the parent volunteers we can round up and see how well they survive" Yeah, no bathrooms and electricity for 5 days was everybody idea of "fun". Oh yeah and they made us sleep in tents too! Ok, here is my version of the camp. Oh yeah and they made us write in a journal claiming they would take them in for marks, which they never did. If I can find it I will show it to you....

Day 1 (sorry guys, could find the journal so you have to bear with my memory):
Started it off Monday morning with a 4 hour bus ride. I don't get what's the point if all they need was some where in the middle of no-where they just needed to walk 100 metres from my house.... Anyway then we set up our tent. We (or my friends would argue it was all me) invited this... well different  girl to tent with us, because I decided to be a good person. Well, I could describe her in four letters, ADHD. And possibly rebelling against her medication. Not to dwell on that fact, we set up camp, involving this girls mother convincing me to climb up a fir tree to tie ropes so we could have a sheet of plastic for rain run off (a requirement, although I'm sure most tents are built well enough to do it anyway). I got yelled at by passing teachers, of course, but I told them even if I were to fall, there would be 10 feet of strong, needled branches to slow my fall. Oh yeah and btw my dad was at camp too =)

Day 2:
Sorry, I just deleted day 2 because it was boring. Move right on to day 3

Day 3:
(I deleted this all too, because it was boring) So, here is the big part of the story. Oh wait, first my dad had just left because he had work to do in a city so had to drive. We got back to camp and were playing this game called backwards tug-a-war. It's where two people put on a harness (like, rock climbing harness) and are then connected by a bungee cord. The object of the game is to run in opposite directions on grab a ball,  then run back to the centre and put it in a bucket. Simple enough. Well, after watching a couple teams do it, I was intrigued. Then this girl, let's call her Brooke =P came and asked me and my friends if anyone would go against her. Now, just to give you a mental picture of this situation... Brooke is like a foot taller than me and built with bones triple my size. We were at the gym once and I swear she could bench press me (ok, maybe an exaggeration, but you get the drift) Anyway, I, being young and foolish said "Sure, that looks like fun". Anyway, our turns comes up and all the teachers have made a viewing line and are laughing and telling me to stay low. Of course, because if I were to stand up, she would just pull me over! Anyway, the guy says go and I make it a couple of steps... and then.... I realized my feet were in front of me, and I didn't know where the ground was! Whack, I hit the ground and even slid back a couple of feet. So, I stand up, remembering to stay low and kind of stagger forward a bit, before I hit the ground again. I look up, and here the teacher guy is standing over me saying "that's enough, this is just disgusting to watch" So I get up, and start walking back over to where my friends are. I reach to the back of my neck, because it was feeling kind of hot. I pull my fingers away because it was all wet, and realize I'm bleeding. My friends saw the blood and freak out. I'm like no big deal, I will just go to the tent and clean it up. So I drag some of my non-freaking friends to follow me. So, we get there and Amy finds her kleenex, and while handing it to me says "I think I might be afraid of blood" me saying no worries, I have my first aid training, I can handle this. After like 8 Kleenexes, I realized it was really bleeding, being a head injury, and was walking back to the main tent when a teacher is approaching me, with my other friends trailing behind. My first thought? Tattle-tails, I'm fine!!! Anyway, she brought be back to the tent, and told me to sit down and put my head down. Then I heard a chorus of OMG's and oooh ouch!es. Yeah, well apparently when I fell backwards (twice) I must of hit a rock or two because there was like this two inch long gash in the back of my head and I was bleeding like crazy. Now, immediately they had cleared away everybody because people were freaking out, but that was before they realize that some of my friends would be useful to help them get stuff. Anyway, they asked who was in my tent, and I said Amy and Meghan, but I also said to find Meghan because Amy is scared of blood. Well, to my surprise, so is Meghan. She told me why afterwards, but at the time I had no idea. So, I named off a few of my other friends, who brought me blankets and combs (oh I hadn't washed my hair/combed my hair in a week so it was a little embarrassing....) Oh, and then thank gosh one of the parent supervisors was a nurse, or else I might have bled to death, given the IQ of some of the teachers. Ok, not to be rude, but they were heating water over a little tiny stove while there were 5 trailers 20 feet away that could of easily boiled it. Umm back to my story, they are like pouring all this alcohol and cleansers over it to clean it and stuff. Oh wait, I forgot to mention what I was like? Ok, first of all, I was having no pain AT ALL. It was amazing. Plus, I felt so awesome because there are like millions of natural pain killers runnin straight to my head. Everyone probably thought I was high! I was crackin jokes and having a jolly good time, why the nurse person was trying to tell me that they could drive me to the hospital (2 hours away) and I would have stitches, but I didn't really need to go because it would heal fine, I would just have a huge scar and if I shaved my head I would look ugly. Plus, she didn't say this, but there would be alot of paperwork. I was having a jolly good time watching everybody shoes (I wasn't allowed to look up) and try and figure out who was who. Oh, and I should introduce to you, my wonderful teachers who were perform this procedures. I shall call them 3H's because there last names all started with H. The first one is the one whose daughter is like 3 years younger than me but does all the same activities (choir, piano, curling) and she was the one who washed my hair. It was extremely disgusting, they put a bowl in my lap and dumped water on my head, so I got to see really how much I was bleeding. Oh and she was the one that cut my hair!!!! Took a big chunk out of it, she did she did!The next one, is the one that talks to us like we are 6 years old and she was the one who went around telling all my friends "it's just a little scratch". Oh and the last one, my personal favorite is the true blond that was trying to be helpful yet I personally know gets nauseated over people losing teeth... it didn't help she didn't like me much.... nor I her. So yeah, they bandaged me up, and I felt so bad for Brooke!!!! Plus, on of my friends freaked out on her, and Meg was just balling her eyes out the whole time because she really can't stand blood (she stuck by me tho!) and I was just having the greatest time of my life and I was trying to tell Brooke that without her thinking I was insane. Ahhh good old endorphins.
         So, then a while later H#2 (in terms of explanations) came up to me and said (quote) "we have a spare bed in our fifth-wheel if you need it" Wow, what a concept. With all 3H's. All at once. Well, H#1 would probably try to give me a warm glass of milk, and H#2 would tuck me in, and H#3 would take pictures of me in my sleep and possible slip some mysterious powder into my water.... just kidding. I would never say things like that.... I obviously "politely" refused. Then, guess what? I was walking back to my tent and who do I find searching it with a flashlight? A gaggle of teachers. H's to be exact. They claimed the were worried than I had spilled blood in my tent. (oh btw they confiscated my clothes that I bled in and whisked them away to somewhere away from bears). I thought that was a little invasive myself.... anyway, they pointed out a bag of chips asking what it was... I said I couldn't see it so Maggie came over to scope it out for us. Yeah, it was chips and they were mad we had food in our tent. Good thing they didn't look behind my bag where we had hid Tim-bits my dad had left us.... oh and then they asked us what this other miscellaneous object was.... and Maggie said bluntly "that's underwear" which it truly was. Anyway, I think I better stop there, this post is extremely long. So now you have read my troubles and turmoils of Grade 8 camp. Anyway, I got home and my mom took me to ER and turns out I had needed stitches, but it was too late, AND I had had a concussion. But, that was a wonderful experience, and I am the founder of the helmet rule. I will be talked about in safety spiels for years to come, and I'm sure my sister will be proud to say "yep, that would be my sister". Oh and one more thing: I never cried. EXCEPT the time where we were suppose to be listening to Mr. Lee talk about memories we will take away with us..... except I wasn't listening to that, Meg was explaining why she hates blood to me and it was such a moving story and she was crying and I was crying.... and then H#3 gave us trouble for disrupting..... ahhh good times.... good times.....

Here we go again

Now, you probably think I have no life posting twice in one night, but I forgot it was Friday and Friday is Fun Fact night!!! (I have officially stolen that because I am not in science class anymore and therefore do not feel guilty about stealing it). So, here are the second 50 questions from that website from last week. (P.S. I am starting to think that every Friday is a bit overwhelming... seeing as like one in every 3 posts is random facts, so I am seriously reconsidering reducing that amount =)

  1. Have you ever won a trophy? Yes actually... don't look so surprised! I won a couple for tae-kwon-do... when I was like 10. I have lots of medals too... I'm quite proud of those! Oh and plus in Grade 6 me and Meg won the middle school talent show.... that was the first and only year they handed out trophies....
  2. Are you a good cook? Pfft no. I'm lucky if I set up the rice machine cooker right and it's basically just a couple of buttons.... 
  3. Do you know how to pump your own gas? Considering I have never even driven a car before, I suppose I should say no, but I am sure I am smart enough to figure it out, need be.
  4. If you could meet any one person (from history or currently alive), who would it be? Ooooh these questions are so hard.... wait haven't I answered this already? I seem to recall answering "Beethoven... wait that would be really awkward because isn't he deaf?" Well, now that i need a new answer....Maybe Christopher Columbus. To get his autograph and inform him that "we are not Indians you arrogant man, and because you mentioned that once or twice our entire native population has had to put up with being called Indian, when in fact, India is on the other side of the world!" 
  5. Have you ever had to wear a uniform to school? No, unless gym strip counts. But I did debate about it as a school assignment a couple years ago. We kicked ass =P
  6. Do you touch-type? Is that like on an Ipad or Ipod or what-not? No I hate it! How are you suppose to know where the friggen keys are?!?! Everybody with touch-type makes sooooo many typos.... It drives me up the wall!!! (I'm not OCD..... just special)
  7. What's under your bed? Uh... some drawers I think.... Sweatshirts and long underwear and what not.... I don't know whats in the drawers on the other side.... I think my mom uses them for storage
  8. Do you believe in love at first sight? No, because if everybody fell in love with the first person they felt attracted to I think there would be alot more gay marriages.
  9. Think fast, what do you like right now? I don't know.... typing? Gum? Sweatpants? I'm so bad at thinking fast...
  10. Where were you on Valentine's day? Last year? School. This year I'm hoping I can get a team together to go curling.... on Valentine's day.... kinda depressing..... 
  11. What time do you get up? haha like 11:00.... there was no school ok? I thought I would take advantage of that...
  12. What was the name of your first pet? Comet. He got hit by a car =/ He was a dog btw, not a hamster. 
  13. Who is the second to last person to call you? Uhhh how am I suppose to remember? I barely remember the last person that called me! 
  14. Is there anything going on this weekend? There was suppose to be a basketball tournament... cough cough.... 
  15. How are you feeling right now? Absolutely fine thanks for asking! 
  16. What do you think about the most? Well, since I'm not up for putting THAT on the internet, I'm going to out the next most thing: myself. Just kidding I don't keep track of my thought patterns
  17. What time do you get up in the morning? Ok, so was getting up (aka question 11) different from getting up in the morning?
  18. If you had A Big Win in the Lottery, how long would you wait to tell people? a couple years.... just kidding. Ummm I would wait till around the dinner table probably... but not that I need to think about that now because I am currently underage 
  19. Who would you tell first? Oh stop getting my hopes up! There is an equally likely chance that you will die on your way to check your "winning numbers" as there would be of you actually winning!
  20. What is the last movie that you saw at the cinema? I'm tired of questions I can't answer!
  21. Do you sing in the shower? Not usually, I just talk. And talk. And talk some more. My voice is usually quite scratchy by the time I get out...
  22. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card? They should stop duplicating questions! But I change my mind, it would be a musical instrument store, for sure. 
  23. What do you do most when you are bored? Blog. Or watch Big Bang. Or eat chocolate
  24. What do you do for a living? Sleep. Drink water. Expel waste.
  25. Do you love your job? School? Yeah yeah of course...
  26. What did you want to be when you grew up? Farmer, and I don't get why everyone finds that so funny.... just because I'm smart doesn't mean I can't be a farmer!!! Since then I have changed my goals to doctor, but....
  27. If you could have any job, what would you want to do/be? Doctors without Borders. Definitely 
  28. Which came first the chicken or the egg? Egg. Because It would have been easier for God to make an egg than to make two chickens and teach them how to make an egg.

  37. What is your favorite time of the day? I like about 9 in the morning. I am awake, but not yet tired of BEING awake

  • Pathetically...

    I feel super pathetic.... need I explain? I know you already think such facts of me, but I have a reasonable explanation this time. So, today I had no school because it was semester break. Good for me, right? Anyway, we were suppose to have a basketball tournament but it got cancelled, for some unknown reason. Sadly, it was the principle of the middle school that called, so therefore, in my opinion, we have been demoted to a middle school team. We only have 3 grade 8's, I swear! The majority are still grade 9's..... anyway not the point. So, I really should have been doing something... well good with my time. No, of course not. Before I start though, I really must make a point of how much I hate reliance on technology. First of all, my friend called and the first thing she said was "did you get my message?" No, I didn't, because my phone was dead and when I plugged it in to it's charger, I didn't realize that the charger wasn't plugged into the wall. A little bit of a blonde move, if I do say so myself. Next, my mom and I were anxiously waiting for a phone call from my grandparents who were in Edmonton due to my grandmother deteriorating health and she was getting some tests leading to possible surgery.... and finally my grandfather phones and what does he say? "She sent Jen a text message saying you could call her at the hotel...." Well, sweatpants don't have pockets. And that was what I happened to put on today. Oh no, this isn't the first time this has happened. My mother's friend was in the ER, and after she called and asked for my mom, I decided to check my phone which had a "please tell you mom to check her email" then "it's really important" then on facebook message "I need to get a hold of you mom". A message to me when my mother has a perfectly good facebook account. Because I apparently check mine more. URGH!!! I'm so frustrated with all these "older generations" thinking us teens are connected and up-to-date and online every single fricken second!!! I get so frustrated, just because some days, I want to curl up and disconnect from the world in the comfort of my house.  But no, when that happens, the world collapses. I am "unreachable" and "missing". Congrats to the people smart enough to work a telephone or a doorbell. Do some people even realize that sometimes a warm hug or a pleasant surprise are more welcomed than a "heartfelt text message" or a facebook poke? I am tired of living in this day and age. Sure, I like to text my friends but half the time it's because we are making arrangements to find each other or they live far far away. Now, this post was originally suppose to be about how I sat down at the couch with a big bang theory disc (the show, not an educational lecture) at like.... 1:00 and I just pried my eyes off of it now (FYI, 8:00) Even during supper, my family joined me at the couch. Now I feel really pathetic for my wasted hours glued to the boob tube. (I think that's right, or else it would be really disgusting imagery if it wasn't. I think I'm going to play it safe and call it the blue tube.... =P) Ok, I am sincerely sorry for those of you that think I made a blog just to rant, because I truly didn't. I just needed to clear up some space in my head. Adios my amigos (I wanted to look up what my was in Spanish, but it turned out it was just my, so technically my Spanish still hasn't improved...)
    Oh yeah and btw there is such a button. Not this exactly, but with privacy settings. Here you go, this is the message I got... FACEBOOK FYI: ALERT*As of YESTERDAY!     Birthdays!!!!

         Guess whose birthday it is today?!?! Nevermind, you are all really bad at guessing! *drumroll please* boom boom boom boom tap tap tap tap...... Mr. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!!!! Did you know he composed over 600 pieces of music? Amazing! What a guy! Ok, now you probably think I'm such a music freak that I know every composers birthday... but I don't! I swear, I heard it on the radio! Promise! Anyway, again you're probably sitting there in your un-dorkyness saying "Mozart? Are you kidding? I've never heard anything by Mozart that I can remember" Oh really now? I am 100% certain you have. And I KNOW you will recognize it.... It starts with a perfect 5th (not that you care...) and is to the same tune as the alphabet (which was made by someone AFTER Mozart) uhhh it talks about burning balls of gas far out in the universe.... light years away..... I'm sure you have it by now. Yes, Mozart wrote Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Who would of thought. But I don't think he made those words... Ok, and thank-you to wikipedia, I know now the full story! He original wrote a poem in French to go with it and for all of my French readers I will post it in

     I think it's funny that we have been (I tried to spell j-i-p-p-e-d but I couldn't really figure out how...) cheated out of childhood nursery rhymes! Gosh can't people get it right!     When people ask, I reply

    First of all I am going to apologize for not posting in an extremely long time... I've had exams and everything =/ I didn't do very well, but don't tell anyone! Anyway, I only needed like 20% to get on honour roll, which is pretty good because the exams are worth 20% of our mark. Oh well.... I guess I shouldn't complain. I didn't fail, but I did study lots! Urgh.... it really irritates me when I fail (according to my standards) and some people get 98%.....

         So, I have someone I have to mention in this blog. She specifically seeked me out at school to mention the fact that she wanted to be apart of this blog. Let's see if you can guess who she is. Ummm she has brown hair (I think it's brown anyway, there are so many different colours of "brown" nowadays) It's usually like... super straight. She probably doesn't like school, I haven't asked her personally or anything... she played on my baseball team last year.... when we were really little we were in a community play.... oh and her families Australian-ish..... I think. So if you don't even know who I am, you have no hope of guessing who she is. But if you do know who I am.... I truly hope I am not just useless at giving descriptions and you actually have an idea who I am talking about. Come on, Come on. No, it's not Meghan! (Meg, why do they always say it's you? You don't even fit.... some of the description!)  It's Amy! Stratulate! And, quote, "she is the most amazing person in the world and I love her so much!!!!" I was suppose to say something else about her, but I forgot. Oh and I am suppose to mention that Elisha Pederson is cool too, but not as cool as Amy. (Elisha was the one that video taped me exploding my head open at Grade 8 camp.... what? I haven't mentioned that before? Remind me to do that....)  Yeah, they're in my French class... well were. And from what I've heard that won't be the case for much longer! I seem to talk about alot of people in my blog..... maybe I should mention it to them too... There getting back-talked about, except about good things! Maybe I shouldn't, they might get all cocky. Just kidding, I don't know anyone who would commit such as sin! Ok, I better sign off, this post is getting quite.... off topic.     Another Friday?

    Guess what? IT'S FUN FACT FRIDAY!!!! wait no, that's science class. It's random question Friday (not quite the same ring.... oh well.) Well this is from a website with a hundred questions, so I have to remember it for next time... (http://www.cfcl.com/vlb/Memes/Questionaires/random_1.html)

    5. Without looking, guess what time it is? I have no idea....7:30? *looks at the clock* YES IT'S ONLY 7:03!!!
    6. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time? Whoops answered that already... 
    7. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? My parents having a conversation with my grandparents... let's eavesdrop for a moment.... tectonic plates.... wow they are so strange
    8. When did you last step outside? What were you doing? I was walking from my car to my grandma's house
    9. Did you dream last night? No but I dreamed the night before about being hired at this ice palace fun fair thingy and there was so much snow I had to shovel to keep the kids from getting lost in it.... maybe that has to do with the amount of snow here.... and then I woke up because the directer of this camp got mad at me for not making a Popsicle fence...... Oh I made a new friend named Rebecca and there was this really cute guy shovelling snow with me.... not the point.
    10. Do you remember your dreams? I HATE HOW I EXPLAIN IT and then it asks me to explain it!
    11. When did you last laugh? When my mom commented that the last 3 things I had said were that makes me hungry.... Well it's not my fault! The first time, we were talking about this container in the fridge that has cream puffs on the lid and I crave them, then watching a yummy commercial on TV, then my uncle commenting that my laptop was the exact colour of chocolate!
    12. Do you remember why / at what? Keep your cool Jen, don't scream at the computer!
    13. What is on the walls of the room you are in? A window, post-it notes (of course, we are talking about my grandma!) posters of local plays my grandpa is in, a framed picture of a car, and a blown up picture of my grandparents when they were young. Oh and a calendar
    14. Seen anything weird lately? no.... wait let me thing.... oh wait we watched ***** (that video we watch in school regularly that makes us laugh at the kids and shows things we need to know)

    SONG WEEK!!!

    Take a stab where I am right now.... come on guess!!!! Damn, you got it right, I'm in math class! Lol I love this unit so very much because I'm done and don't really care about the fact that I can't figure out the stupid guess in check.... oh well, I'm sure I will figure it out when the time comes =) So, now I have to think of a meaningful topic to talk about.... uh....          Ok, now I am going to completely analyze this song in the way I see it now. First it talks about just growing up and being a little bit hesitant about going further into life. Then  it explains how in the states, when money is short they stop funding high schools. If he could write a letter to the president, these are some of the things he would say. Then how growing up is so hard when your trying to fit in. It goes on to explain that the government is not really noticing how many imperfections the world is growing up in. It says same-sex marriage, which I don't really agree with. I guess if that is what some people want to do, it's their choice. "Murder is wrong but the jail times not fair" Ok, so I guess this would be true if it wasn't on purpose, like 2nd degree or whatever the degrees are, or if your mentally ill or something and then get better. But, if you had planned it and went out and did it, especially more than once, then you deserve a life sentence! I know the side that says, "well, one life's already gone, but why waste another in jail?" But you didn't just kill the person. You killed the entire family. Did you know, if their children are killed, the parents have a higher divorce rate? They can't deal with the grief. And the person probably had friends, or even just people they knew. So, if you commit murder, in my opinion, you kind of deserve a life sentence.
        Next line is "Not to mention date rape, felony, and car theft" Yeah, these things happen too. Lots of bad things happen in countries where they make things to kill people (ex GUNS!!!!) I hate guns. They scare me to death. If I had to choose I number one fear, as of yesterday, it would be guns. I have absolutely decided that a gun is more of a threat to me that a whale or a bird. But, to look on the bright side (Jennifer how could you?!?!) but, there are more kids dying in third world countries than murders and thefts here. But I do agree, they make the places we live in scary and should NOT happen!
         And my favorite part of the song (drumroll please.....) Uh, if it wasn't for basketball.... or cross-country..... or music....  I would have gone that way too. I think. Possibly. Ooooh I'm really nervous about posting that.... Just ignore it, I just had to say it!!!! So, that's why this was my favorite song. That verse, just gets me every time. People don't often realize the amplifications of their actions. Like that could have happened because somebody decided to do all there work under the table so they didn't have to pay taxes... and when enough people do that, then the money in taxes the government gets goes down, so they can't fund schools as much as they do, so the school can't afford "luxuries" like a track team. Which means more kids go into drugs, requiring more police, and more jails, and more jail guards, and so on. Anyway, that's all I have to say. That only took like 45 mins to write!!! Damn, another half an hour of math class. Well, feel free to post what you thought. It's not like I have anything better to do lol. Wait, I have exams in less than a week... AHHHH I BETTER GO!!!          I don't really like to post this early in the morning, because I would rather be SLEEPING!!!! (as she trys to drop a hint to the inside of her brain...) Sleep thou not come if thou drank coffee, damn it. I like to think it was because I went to bed so early that by now I am fully rested.... but I don't think that's the case. Since it's like, mid-morning for some people, I guess I shouldn't be complaining. I just like my sleep, that's all. If it's after 6:00am I don't mind, but anything before that is like WTF?          Wow. Amazing. Anyway, some background on it. It's written about a really sad true story about this girl who lived across the street from an elementary school and one morning went outside and started shooting at the school. I think she killed two people (police officer and the principal) and injured eight children. When she went back into the house, the police surrounded her and she was talking on the phone to reporters. When they asked her why she did it, she reportedly said "Monday's are always so boring, I just wanted to add some excitement to it". IT'S SO SAD!!!! *tear* Anyway, this song is a true work of art, because hearing it for the first time, you wouldn't really get the meaning of all the lyrics. But trust me, there is a lot of meaning, to those lyrics. I probably better go, I can use this time to study more for French! I can't believe I am not excited for that! (heavy sarcasm =)

    I'm Trying!!!


         I'm kind of lost right now. I keep going in circles because I haven't really discovered which way is out. I can't figure out whether or not I really have choices anymore. Lately, I have been really worried about the far future (what else means the opposite of "near future"?). I think, or at least I hope, that I am just at that age where I can really decide who I am. I used to KNOW that I loved to learn and be the super nerd and get 90's all the time, but now I'm not really sure. It's exam time, and I have been spending hours studying, but is that really what I want? I could be working so I could afford to send money for kids starving in Africa or I could be writing music or I could be hanging out with my friends. I finally have choices, and I don't know what to do. I finally have the chance to make a difference, and I have the choice to choose not too. It's so hard! Like, I have been saying forever I want to volunteer at the hospital and play piano at seniors homes but did I take the initiative? No, I decided to play volleyball and basketball. But those things keep me healthy and skinney and socialized. See? It's like a circle. Or, I could do everything and stress out and fall in a rut and get depressed and drop everything to climb back out. And then start my life over. I don't know. I just don't know anymore.
         I'm taking this music course called Harmony. It's like intense musical study, and it's so hard and dull. Now, I have never had work that is hard for me. Like, I've had trouble, but nothing like this. I don't get it? It's so frusterating. It's pulling my whole mood down. That and the fact that it's January and I am pretty sure I have a touch of SAD (seasonal affective disorder). Now, I have always complained about school being to easy, but this is like the extreme other side. Anyway, I better sign off and get back to studying. I will post some happyier posts when exams are done. Night.

    SPEED!!!

    Ok this post today is going to be super speedy....  Why? BECAUSE I'M GOING REALLY FAST! What are you doing everybody is asking? No!!! Like mentally! Ok, I don't like that world. Phsiopyhologically! Ok that word probably doesn't make sense but it works for me! I have a million things to do today. Yes a millions! First of all, I have to breath about 23, 040 times and I have to beat my heart 100, 000 times! But besides those things, I also have to go to morning band, then SCHOOL (yeah that thing that adds so much stress in my life!) and then I have a basketball game in which I go STRAIGHT to piano! During the course of the day I have to finish my harmony (so hard.... just so hard) And put up posters.... and a whole bunch of stuff like that! AHHHHHH got to go because I have to go to band! ahahahahaha I will be back when I have time! LATER!!!!

    Snow Day!

    Guess what? The buses weren't running today! I love snow days! It's like half the class is there right? Yeah I know what you're saying "But you're a bus kid...." Technically I am, but I walk to school most the time so I might as well not be. Anyway, most of the day was useless. But I really don't like not going to school because then I'm behind and have to rely on everybody else... Ahhhh! Never! My day consists of follows: begged my mom to talk me to school so I could talk to my friends in the morning (in her TA), band (only one person missing... NEW RECORD!), TA in which I snuck into my friend's TA and we played extreme cards. I sometimes feel sorry for my friends TA teacher because I am always in her room... and she will probably have to put up with me for the next four years.... but I bought her a Christmas present so it's all good =) Anyway then I had French, which took too much brain power. Lunch (woohoo!). Science (watched a space video) and then social. Social started out like this:
    Teacher: We're watching a movie!
    Class: YES!!!!!
    Random kid: What movie?
    Teacher: Highschool Musical!
    Class: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
    Another random kid: We're too old for that movie
    ANOTHER random kid: I've seen it too many times
    Teacher: Fine, you 2 kids go get a movie from the library
    *come back with The Simpsons*
    Me (inside my head!): Really? ohhh shit this is going to be a really long hour!

    Again, if I could draw that would be a comic. But again, I can't. And again, your stuck with words.
    But it was torture sitting there. And then my friends (who is homeschooled....) started texting me because we are suppose to coordinate a biblestudy for this sunday and was asking for ideas.... So see? It's all good. It's not like I would text in a regular class to my friend sitting beside me. Anyway, to my relief my wonderful social teacher didn't care, so I actually stayed awake that entire class!

         The Simpsons isn't even a good movie! It's horrible! Total slapstick, first of all. I like it when it's actually intellectually funny (cough cough, the Big Bang Theory) meaning you actually have to have more than a half a brain to get it. And the Simpsons half the time is just making fun of morals and stuff like that. The one part that sticks out for me is when the guy announced CODE BLACK and then the next line is "That's the worst kind of code there is!" turns to the African-Americain guy beside him "No offense" Just bad humour!     Hey everybody! I'm in the middle of math class...... I'm so bored. Done all my work of course.... but I forgot to add what this post was really suppose to be about! Anyway, so I have this really stalker-ish habit of watching people.... I know, creepy right? You learn alot about people... and funny habits they have... hehe ready for this. My oh so wonderful science teacher: likes to bite her nails... and when reading something aff the internet she will mouth the words, haha and my social teacher? It's like this guy and he started video tapeing himself doing funny things and now he is famous and has like 3,000,000 subscribers! I have seen everyone of his videos, but then youtube deleted the best ones because they contained copywrited material. SO GAY! Uh yeah! So they you can watch his video about being copywrited, which is also very good because he just makes fun of them. Check it out here!

    Anyway, so I was thinking how fantastic the internet is for bringing out all these hidden talents. How else would I be able to laugh at some guy in Hawaii? Youtube is fantastic, but there's alot of crap on it too. So I just thought I would point out someone actually funny so your not stuck watching "I am cow. Here me moo. I weigh twice as much as you.     Forbidden Love

    Ok, so last year for LA we were suppose to write a short story. Now, it had been a REALLY long time since I had written a story. And I was never really good at it! I put alot of time into this one though, but it still sucked. I think this was the original thing that got me writing though... (wait, I just noticed like every single post starts with 'ok'. Note to self, change that) So, here it is. Feel free to laugh at will. I didn't know sometime like this could ever come out of MY head....

         My palms were sweating as I looked down the dark alley. Even thought we had been meeting for over three fortnights, I was still anxious that someone was going to discover us.
         "Love isn't forbidden," Eliza whispered into my ear. Pondering this, I replied "Is is right for a mule to love a horse? Is it socially correct for a serf to fall for a princess?"
         "Your worth just as much as I am, and I know you're aware of that!" she answered hastily. A sudden noise alerted both of our senses. Just rats, I assured myself. Looking into my eyes, Eliza placed her well-kept hand upon the David's star sewn to my vest. In return I placed my on the absence of one on her cloak.
         "I would rather die than live the rest of my life without you," I murmured, running my hand over her fragile face.
         "Then tell my father! His best interests are in whom I marry!" she debated passionately.
         "Quietly now, you must leave. It is dangerous for a young woman to wander this long after dark." She hesitated, and then wordlessly she turned and began walking away from me. I sighed, letting some distance gather between us before I left the dingy hideaway. The streets were deserted except for one homeless soul, huddled in a Russian flag for warmth. The disrespect for this country was unbearable ever since the Port Arther was destroyed in the war. Now the prices of food and necessities are so great that hunger and homelessness has spread through the city. The effect it had on my own self were so great I am being forced to work 12-hour shifts to remain alive. When I returned to my sleeping quarters above an old barn, I was aware of someone in my presence. Turning, I came into eye contact with another stable boy, watching my every move. Ignoring the uncomfortable feeling, I found space on the other side of the room and rested.
         Drenched in cold well water, I arose out of a deep sleep. Aware that this meant I had slept past my shift, I hurriedly jumped into salute and rambled off my apologies. My mast curtly grasped my ear and yanked me down the steps and into a dirty stall in the stable.
         "You know the rules perfectly well, boy, and that is that stable workers are not allowed to leave my property without permission, especially  after curfew! I knew it was unacceptable to take in an orphan, let alone a Jew. Don't you dare interrupt me! From now on you will be working a double shift and be required an escort. Understand?" Wiping the spit off my face I feebly nodded. On that note, he pivoted around and briskly walked out of the stable. I took a deep breath and ignored the sinking feeling in my stomach. No more Eliza. I promised myself we could still make it happen. But for now I had a shift to work.
         An immense pain shot through my spine as I attempted to lift yet another pail of manure. From working double shifts for a week, my body was aching. I looked over at my supervisor. His sleek, business man like appearance was incomparable to my grimy, manure covered clothes. It was obvious which one a woman would choose if she had the opportunity. Refocusing my mind, I tried to lift the bucket again.
         The brakes of a car distracted me from my work later that morning. Curiously, I watched an expensive car park and the doors open. Out of it stepped a man dressed in an exorbitant suit. Turning around, he reached inside the car and grasped an extended hand. He effortlessly assisted a beautiful woman out of the vehicle, and immediately grabbed her waist. With a jolt of recognition, I realized that the figure was familiar. Without thinking, I ran to the nearest bush in a crouch, trying to examine the girl more closely. As if on cue, she glanced over to the shrub I had chosen to hide behind and we lock into eye contact. Eliza's look was one of anguish, and as I looked more closely, I could tell the man at her side was not her doings. I became conscious that she was mouthing words at me. Now. Soon. Please.She glanced over at the man at her side, since he had noticed her wandering eyes and was trying to lead her into a building. Without looking back at me she obediently followed, like a slave would his master.
          I sat there planning what to do when she returned from inside the building. I was determined to sit there for hours upon hours just to come into contact with her again. The sidewalk was thick with traffic as I tried to keep a steady eye on the door. Startled, I realized that Eliza had already exited the building and was heading back towards the car. Quickly I rose from my hiding spot and sprinted to the edge of the road.
         "Madam, are you interested in buying a train ticket for Tynda? It leaves at 7:30pm at the Kingsford train station," I stared into her eyes, willing her to understand the logic.
         "Sir, I would love to help you out, but I have no reason to go to Tynda, Thank-you for offering." The flicker in her eyes informed me she had understood. To keep in character, I jogged toward the next street wanderer without a backwards glance. When I was positive that I was out of view I trotted happily back to my work area before my absence would be noticed.
         "It needs to be done, Eliza, I cannot think of anything else to do." I regretfully watched the tears stream down her face. I attempted to look her in the eye, but she turned away.
         "I shall not leave my father. I refuse to end up like my mother. Anyway, I am sure he would have some way of finding me." She stated, looking downward so I could not see her face. Feeling pained, I replied "You will be leaving your father in a few months time to get married. Why should it not be me?"
         "My father..."
         "Your father nothing. It is your life, not his. Now, there are 20 minutes before the train leaves and it is your decision whether you want to be on it or not." Taking a deep breath, I could see she was making a decision.
         "Yes." The word that rolled off her tongue was so exquisite that I could almost hear my heart singing. It must of showed on my face because she released a massive smile. I quickly discussed with her my plan to move from city to city until I found a steady job. As I reached for my small bundle of possessions I felt a pang of remorse because Eliza only had the clothes on her back. As I told her this, she beamed and revealed a small purse of gold coins as well as an expensive wristwatch. I sensed my spirits lift as I realized what she would have had to do to obtain the small gift.
         "Thank you," I mumbled, but she just shrugged it off.
         "Wait," she indicated as she opened her pocket. Out emerged a seam ripper, and with a gleam in her eye, she started splitting seams from my vest.
         Holding the David's star in my hand, I questioned, "Does that mean we are equal now"
         "We always have been," she replied as she grasped my hand and led me to the train station.

    Pretty cheesy, and I was truly, actually surprised when I got it back WITH A BIG FAT ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!!! Yeah, well, I could say a lot about that teacher to, but I haven't yet decided if I want to announce that...  She graduated with my brother. Like the same grade and everything. I didn't figure it out into at least halfway through the second year, and then somebody told her that and of course she was interested. He had a LOT to say about her, that's for sure. Quote "On the beauty vs brains spectrum, she CLEARLY went one way" ahhh I love my brother. Anyway, how did I get on that topic?? OH RIGHT my story -_- I thought it was really bad but know reading it over it's somewhat decent. The plot is quite weak, but the writing levels good. Quote ms. noname, its "waaaay above grade 8 level." Of course, I was a bitch at that time in my life, and didn't believe a single word that came out of her mouth, but I realize know that was probably a complement =P . Anyway I got into a really big "disagreement" with her (wow I totally had a blonde moment I was like how to I type the quotation marks you do with your fingers... OH WAIT!) Anyway, as most of my friends know I can go on all day about HER. But I better sign off because my eye are barely open. For now and ever ~Jen
