Jabborwocky!

Yes, I'm doing another blogging challenge. I shall succeed this time! I promise you! The person I'm doing it with (yes, I have mentioned her before!) is Stephanie over at What's So Random. The challenge is you have to blog out your name (starting today!) I'm doing Jennifer so... today is J!

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood a while in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One two! One two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

This is the poem is by Lewis Carroll, even though Jabberwocky just actually means gibberish. Come to my arms, my beamish boy! Sound really creepy. So there is some literature for you. Just another hump day. Last Wednesday of the school year!

And then I met my husband

I just wanted to confuse you with the title. Actually, I'm kidding it does have something to do with what I'm going to talk about.

Yes. I'm in high school.

NO! I'm not married! You sick pervert!

Naw, you know, it was just an average Monday.

EXCEPT

In English class, we were talking about Shakespeare. I know. I could barely breath I was so excited. And... oh wait I guess I have to give you an idea about my English teacher.

She's a newbie (well not that new... just rather young) and is one of those types of personalities that gets excited about English. I never would've guessed an English teacher would get excited. About something as boring as English. Coming from the me, who spends her Monday evenings blogging, I guess you can chose whether or not to actually listen to me rant about English.

Anyway going on. She's also blonde. Not that that should matter, but it does. Idk why. I don't care now, but at the beginning of the semester I was a little skeptic.

So, she was going on and on about "way back then" going to see a play was like now a days going to see a movie. Then she started to go on about how when she was young she would watch romantic movies all the time and her and her friends would day dream about true love and knights in shining armour. She concluded her rant by staying "And then I met my husband."

So I turn to my friend beside me and say....

wait for it

this is the punch line for the entire story

I'm pretty sure she's married to an accountant.

Ok, maybe you don't think that's funny. Maybe you had to be there. But I thought it was funny! Ahhh LA is so much better with my own commentary.

Houston, We Have a Problem...

Ok so I have a major dilemma! Maybe all my dedicated viewers can help me out...

So, for LA, we have to read this book. Ok well I have to read it. We had a choice of like six books, and I thought this one would be kind of interesting cause it's all about this guy that is like a juvenile delinquent. Now, I'm reading along and inside my head I was thinking "Wow, this book is so.... easy. They spell everything out for you" So I started making a commentary as I read this book. It will say something like "The water was cold. I had to keep swimming because or else I would freeze" The whole time I was thinking "Die you stupid boy that doesn't know how to live die! Because that makes sense, if you don't know how to live die! But no, a spirt bear has to come and attack you and kill you, but before your dead he will probably save you. But I'm just to tired of hearing about you die so 'hello spot under my bed'

I have no interest in reading this book. PLUS to make matters worse on the cover it says 'K&E English', which in our school is like the kids that struggle with regular school work. Great. And I was put in this group. Fantastic. fml

NOW my actually dilemma is I'm reading this book:
AND IT IS FANTASTIC! I CAN'T STOP READING IT! But I need to finish my novel study before June 17th.... BUT EVERYTIME I PICK UP A BOOK I HAVE TO READ THIS ONE! So I have no idea what to do. HELP?!?!?!

Poem!!!!

Ok. No more A-Z blogging challenge. I apologize =(

Anyway on a happier note I wrote a poem for English and.....

GOT A FRICKEN HUNDRED PERCENT!!! and some pretty damn nice comments to go with it! Let me know what you think!

(the poem with no title and screwed up font)

I’m supposed to let you drive

let you have control
of my life.
I’m not supposed to hurt.

If you take my hand

I could live like
you want me to.
I’m not supposed to
have scars.
You could open my eyes
to everything
around me.

But
what if I let go?
and lose control

what if you’re not there
to catch me?
Will I fall…
                                                             fall…

                                                                                                      fall…
                                                                                                                                              f
                                                                                                                                                                   a
                                                                                                                                                                                       l
                                                                                                                                                                                                            l

I’m not supposed to have scars.

I'm so bored. I'm the Chairman of the Bored!

Hey guys it's me... well duh. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been busy. I am in math right now, but I don't know if I'm suppose to be on the computer's or not.... plus the keyboard typing makes alot fo noise in a quiet room. Should I be paying attention? I don't really know.... I just keep flicking back and forth. Ok, so in math we are learning about powers. I'm so bored because I learned about these already? Where? Well, in elemetary school I loved math so much my dad bought be a math textbook to do during the summer of Grade 5. And this was the first charpter. Now, four years later the school has finally found the time to teach us about it. So, that's why I'm always blogging in math class! If I'm not doing that, I"m usually doing my Harmony RCM course... which I read is equivilent to a Grade 11 math class. Hehe. . I wish this class would talk more, so the evidence of me typing would be less noticable. Oh, let me describe this room. It's a pretty big.... not like university classes or anything but it holds like 30 kids. The desks are all huge, and the computers are inside the desk, like where your knees go. You have to look through this scatched up piece of glass to see the computer. Now, you would think that would make it less noticable that you were on the computer, but when you see someone looking intensely at a desk.... Anyway, this semester is so boring for me, because I have no courses I have to work at! Except for LA, when we do stuff like research essays, but that's just expected. Then I have math, and gym, and gym option (6 out of 20 periods a week are gym!!) Film and Video, and Drama. Now, I really don't like drama. Everyone expects me too, because I'm a loud person and did alot of on stage stuff when I was little, but I don't really enjoy myself in the class. We just recently had to look up love poems that we are suppose to speak in front of the class, and I love speaking poems but with 30 other kids in the class that have probably never done it before and chose drama as their last option (aka me) it will be very boring. Wait, back to math... damn. Ok done. Wasn't that fast? Lol. So back to my topic. School drive me insane. I wish the school would just realize that I am willing to take a killer hard course just for something to do. Well, I guess that's kind of what harmony is, but I want all my courses to be like that! Maybe I should be like Sheldon... quote "It took you four years to complete highschool?!?!" Hehe I'm positive I could do it in three.... That would be an advantage of being homeschooled. But, like my mom said, "then you miss the social aspect of being a kid" Which is true. I would have never met all my friends if I did stick with it through school. Plus, when school is easy for me, then I can do other stuff like be secretary on the Fine Arts Board and spend my spare time on posters and stuff like that. Plus, when we have a project, I can be really elaborate and get a really good mark. Ok, I better go, my math teacher just told me my work was only worth 50% because I didn't show my work. Dammit! I wanted to just slide under the bar.... welcome, series of torturing math classes... Well at least I have my blogging family to keep me company. And harmony =S... Better go. Adiós mis amigos fieles... haha that was straight from google translator.... (Goodbye my faithful friends!)

New Year's!!!

Happy 2011 everyone!!! Did everyone party it up? I hope so, cause I had an awesome time! I went to this dance and a dinner thing with my parents and there was suppose to be a great band but the singer/bass player's daughter has this really nasty sickness so she stayed home. They still played though and they were good... minus one. Yeah... now, I haven't done this for a while, but I'm gonna make a New Year's Resolution! (hold the applause). I'm really pathetic and they last like a week, but I'm going to try!

1. Learn Spanish and improve my French.
2. Not zone out/talk in social class (whoops, how did that get in there? That's not me... =P)
3. Volunteer at the hospital
4. Play piano at seniors homes
5. Go to the gym more often! Not because I think I'm fat (what girl would ever thing that??) but so I am about to stay on my feet in basketball...
6.Ace all my exams
7. TRY not to fight with my sister....
8. Watch my tongue (but Mom, I can't even see it!)
9. Attempt to befriend my TA teacher
10. Grow bigger feet.

So, that's what I came up with. I will strive to follow this all year... Just kidding I will be lucky if it lasts a month. So to all my blogging pals, Adios Amigos!!! (referring to number one...)

Forced habits????

Ok, so, this is about maturity (somewhat). Half the time, I think younger kids are more mature than older kids. I was sitting on the bus this morning, and there was frost on the windows. The kindergartners and the grade one-ers were busy making hearts and writing I love you in mirrored image so people on the outside could read it. While, as you moved farther back in the bus, the messages started getting worse. A few were stuff like "Levi is Gay" or "Billy likes dick" or whatever. Honestly, I would rather read I love you than messages like that. But all teenagers were like that... right? Once a kid. I think it's like one of those really messed up transition phases.
Ok, I know you are either killing yourself laughing or being completely lost at that last paragraph. But to finish the topic, I have to tell you the most horrific news. Ok, you remember me talking about the little kindergartners on my bus? Well they are like my best friends. The one that is my favourite though, her name is Chloe. She is 6 years old and has flowing blonde hair. Now, whenever I am on the bus, she always sits beside me and we listen to my ipod together (now, don't get horrified, my ipod is completely swear-free and all christian music!!). Then one day, she brought her ipod and insisted we listen to it. It was one of the really old nanos with no screen. So were were listening, and at first it was stuff like crazy frog and "i like to move it move it" and stuff. But then there were a lot of songs that weren't. I started listening to the words of those songs, and in ever song, within the first verse there was something that offended me. It was full of niggers and bitches and whores. I had asked her where she had got this music and she explained it used to be her brothers ipod, and other than the fact that she didn't particularly like the songs, she saw nothing wrong with it. So here is this 6 year old girl, learning her manners from songs that I would be embarrassed being caught listening to. Now, thinking about this, I was trying to find out who her brother was. The only brother of her I know of is in Grade 4. That's right, 9 year old. Now, I don't even want to know where HE got that music, but I just wanted to point out, that some kids learn there habits from that stuff that happened when they were little. It might seem perfectly normal to them.
Now, to change the topic I little, I have another "theory" I would like to share. So, over the years of going to school with the same people, you learn quite a bit. Now, I have to admit, some of my peers aren't the best people in the world. I mean, they are into some pretty bad things. But after being friends with them for a while, I would argue it's not their fault. They have told me stories of when they were as young as 7, being offered a smoke. Or by the time they were 10 they were drinking at home. Ok, you might not get the point yet. How many of the people in the world, do you think, have the same religion as their parents? A lot, right? That's probably because as a kid, they were told that the religion was what was right and their parents probably took them to church or other forms of religious practice. So, now, relate that to something like drugs. If you grew up at home and were told that this was right and your parents even offered you a smoke, you would probably believe them. It's not only the parents, it's the family friends, siblings, siblings friends, and soon their friends. So, with that explanation, how can you possible say that it's their fault? Just some food for thought. Ok I better go now, this post is getting quite long.... LATER MY DEDICATED VIEWERS!!!

Look! I'm being all computer geeky!
