When people ask, I reply

First of all I am going to apologize for not posting in an extremely long time... I've had exams and everything =/ I didn't do very well, but don't tell anyone! Anyway, I only needed like 20% to get on honour roll, which is pretty good because the exams are worth 20% of our mark. Oh well.... I guess I shouldn't complain. I didn't fail, but I did study lots! Urgh.... it really irritates me when I fail (according to my standards) and some people get 98%.....
(Oh btw is it really creepy that I found a picture of you?!?!
 Courtesy of Facebook....)
So, I have someone I have to mention in this blog. She specifically seeked me out at school to mention the fact that she wanted to be apart of this blog. Let's see if you can guess who she is. Ummm she has brown hair (I think it's brown anyway, there are so many different colours of "brown" nowadays) It's usually like... super straight. She probably doesn't like school, I haven't asked her personally or anything... she played on my baseball team last year.... when we were really little we were in a community play.... oh and her families Australian-ish..... I think. So if you don't even know who I am, you have no hope of guessing who she is. But if you do know who I am.... I truly hope I am not just useless at giving descriptions and you actually have an idea who I am talking about. Come on, Come on. No, it's not Meghan! (Meg, why do they always say it's you? You don't even fit.... some of the description!)  It's Amy! Stratulate! And, quote, "she is the most amazing person in the world and I love her so much!!!!" I was suppose to say something else about her, but I forgot. Oh and I am suppose to mention that Elisha Pederson is cool too, but not as cool as Amy. (Elisha was the one that video taped me exploding my head open at Grade 8 camp.... what? I haven't mentioned that before? Remind me to do that....)  Yeah, they're in my French class... well were. And from what I've heard that won't be the case for much longer! I seem to talk about alot of people in my blog..... maybe I should mention it to them too... There getting back-talked about, except about good things! Maybe I shouldn't, they might get all cocky. Just kidding, I don't know anyone who would commit such as sin! Ok, I better sign off, this post is getting quite.... off topic. Adios, Amigos!!(Sorry, my Spanish hasn't improved any....)

SONG WEEK!!!

Take a stab where I am right now.... come on guess!!!! Damn, you got it right, I'm in math class! Lol I love this unit so very much because I'm done and don't really care about the fact that I can't figure out the stupid guess in check.... oh well, I'm sure I will figure it out when the time comes =) So, now I have to think of a meaningful topic to talk about.... uh.... This is almost harder than actual math! Ok maybe not... oh oh oh I got another song for everyone! I think I shall rename this week song week! This used to be my favorite song ever!!! I just found it on my Ipod again.... and when I get off the school computer's I can put a youtube video up, but it's blocked on these computers!!!! Urgh! Anyway here, I will explain it after =):

Letters to the President, By Hawk Nelson

When we were younger we used to sit on my porch
And talk smack about girls and professional sports
There's a lot of things I wanted to say
But never got a chance to find a way

(One) take a good look at all of our high schools
this is the first reason that I want to write you
it must be tough when society is messed up
Gotta save money, please don't take it out on us

Do they even know? Do they even know?

If I was brave I'd write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won't say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
But for now I won't say nothing

Now that we're older a brand new story unfolds
About God and the laws that we've always been told
And there's a lot of things I wanted to say
But never got a chance to find a way

Same-sex marriage in a state where they don't care
Murder is wrong but the jail time's not fair
Not to mention date rape, felony and car theft
Break it down and tell me what we've got left

Do they even know? Do they even know?

If I was brave I'd write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won't say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
As for now I'll start with something

Take a good look at Tommy, he's a track star
Good role model, has a chance to go real far
Then the school made a budget-cut
Cut out the track team
Now instead Tommy is a crack head

Same-sex marriage in a state where they don't care
Murder is wrong but the jail time's not fair
Not to mention date rape, felony, and car theft
Break it down and tell me what we've got left

If I was brave I'd write a letter to the president
And have him pass it to the leaders of our parliament
But for now I won't say nothing
From all the kids who would stand in my residence
Who see this letter as a statement of our innocence
As for now I'll start with something (Woah, Woah)
As for now I'll start with something

Ok, now I am going to completely analyze this song in the way I see it now. First it talks about just growing up and being a little bit hesitant about going further into life. Then  it explains how in the states, when money is short they stop funding high schools. If he could write a letter to the president, these are some of the things he would say. Then how growing up is so hard when your trying to fit in. It goes on to explain that the government is not really noticing how many imperfections the world is growing up in. It says same-sex marriage, which I don't really agree with. I guess if that is what some people want to do, it's their choice. "Murder is wrong but the jail times not fair" Ok, so I guess this would be true if it wasn't on purpose, like 2nd degree or whatever the degrees are, or if your mentally ill or something and then get better. But, if you had planned it and went out and did it, especially more than once, then you deserve a life sentence! I know the side that says, "well, one life's already gone, but why waste another in jail?" But you didn't just kill the person. You killed the entire family. Did you know, if their children are killed, the parents have a higher divorce rate? They can't deal with the grief. And the person probably had friends, or even just people they knew. So, if you commit murder, in my opinion, you kind of deserve a life sentence.
Next line is "Not to mention date rape, felony, and car theft" Yeah, these things happen too. Lots of bad things happen in countries where they make things to kill people (ex GUNS!!!!) I hate guns. They scare me to death. If I had to choose I number one fear, as of yesterday, it would be guns. I have absolutely decided that a gun is more of a threat to me that a whale or a bird. But, to look on the bright side (Jennifer how could you?!?!) but, there are more kids dying in third world countries than murders and thefts here. But I do agree, they make the places we live in scary and should NOT happen!
And my favorite part of the song (drumroll please.....) Is this line!!!: Take a good look at Tommy, he's a track star (so, he has worked hard for the past how ever many years to gain that...) Good role model, has chance to go real far (yeah, I'll say!! scholarships.... awards....) Then the school made a budget cut, cut out the track team (so, however many kids were on that team just lost inspiration) Now instead Tommy is a crackhead: =0.... My favorite part of the song. Because it's so true! And people don't often realize that. I, myself, cough cough ok this is hard for me to say.... Uh, if it wasn't for basketball.... or cross-country..... or music....  I would have gone that way too. I think. Possibly. Ooooh I'm really nervous about posting that.... Just ignore it, I just had to say it!!!! So, that's why this was my favorite song. That verse, just gets me every time. People don't often realize the amplifications of their actions. Like that could have happened because somebody decided to do all there work under the table so they didn't have to pay taxes... and when enough people do that, then the money in taxes the government gets goes down, so they can't fund schools as much as they do, so the school can't afford "luxuries" like a track team. Which means more kids go into drugs, requiring more police, and more jails, and more jail guards, and so on. Anyway, that's all I have to say. That only took like 45 mins to write!!! Damn, another half an hour of math class. Well, feel free to post what you thought. It's not like I have anything better to do lol. Wait, I have exams in less than a week... AHHHH I BETTER GO!!! SEE EVERYBODY LATER!!! =)

Will you be mine?

Ok, in this particular post I am going to be writing to you as a typical grade nine student. I know shock right? Well, scratch that, it's still not true. I am still not typical =P. But anyway, if you have been following any of my friends blogs, you will know that a recent topic was "Love". Now, for some high school students love must be very important. But it really doesn't mean anything to me. Well, in the boyfriend/girlfriend way. What's the point? I remember a time in Grade 5... *flashback* I walked into the bathroom, and here was this girl bawling her eyes out cause her boyfriend broke up with her. I truly wanted to just shake some sense into her!!! Urgh! The first reason, she's 10. Second of all, she dated this guy for like a week and the most they ever did was say hello to each other in the halls. Thirdly, it was like her 4th boyfriend of the month. GET REAL! So, throughout middle school, the amount of dating couples has grown. And they would actually hang out once in a while! Gasp! In grade 8 it kind of slowed because we were the top of the food chain and according to all the girls the guys were not hot and all the guys thought the girls were biotchs. But now the dreaded time has come. Highschool. And some of the stuff that happens... wow. Personally, I like going to highschool to learn and develop skills and make new friends and stuff like that but I realize that may not be the case for others. I was shock, when I saw several girls texting/flirting with guys in grade 12. Some of them were even dating! (Blaaaaaah!!! Disgusting!) Now, I'm not up to date on my laws, but I think there might be a possibility it is illegal to date someone 4 years younger than you. Maybe not BUT IT'S STILL MORALLY WRONG!!
Another thing about dating, I don't think anyone should feel forced or peer pressured to date. Maybe, your just not ready or not interested or whatever it is, it`s better to wait. Dating's original purpose was to find out if you want to marry them or not. In highschool, that`s not the case but it should be kept in mind anyway. Just some food for thought everybody!! Signing off, Jen

(Oh and one last thing, I have a pet peeve when people just throw around the words I LOVE YOU. Those are pretty powerful words and you shouldn't say them to someone who you just met or get mad when someone doesn't return them)

Look! I'm being all computer geeky!
